Urban (Up) Morelli is a self-taught artist specializing in wood art, including intarsia, inlays, scroll portraiture, custom portraits and designs, and heirloom furniture.

Up has spent over ten years living with Aboriginal peoples in Saskatchewan and learning from all around him. He now lives with his family in Saskatoon. His studio is set up in the midst of a growing arts community, which continues to inspire and enhance his creativity. Although self-taught, his mastery of the wood medium is mixed with deep emotion and sensuality and we look forward to seeing more work in the years to come. Up is currently working on a new body of work that is a departure from his usual style, but it is just as exhilarating and refreshing as his previous artwork.
